After one of the datacenters I help manage had an unexpected power outage, with both alternate power sources failing as well, a multi-million dollar company ground to a halt. While waiting for power to be restored, I immediately dispatched an onsite technician. We were onsite before the power was even restored. After power came back up, I worked to restore the 13-node Nutanix cluster back to a healthy status. After only about 2 hours of downtime, after power was restored, critical infrastructure was back up. All services were up within 5 hours of power restore.
